Protect Your Home or Cabin with a Low Temperature Alarm

Today, many of us travel during the winter months to get away from the cold weather. Unfortunately, we can’t take our homes with us and they have to fend for themselves while we bask in the sun. Vacation property owners also leave their lake home or cottage unoccupied for long periods during the winter months, leaving this valuable asset open to damage caused by falling temperatures.

Fortunately, Protected Home offers low temperature alarms for homes, cabins, vacation property, businesses, and industry. Our FreezeAlarms will call you before the pipes freeze, giving you ample time to locate a neighbor, friend, relative or even a contractor to come and fix the problem before the temperature reaches a critical level. In addition to the low temperature alarm offered on all of our FreezeAlarms, many of our FreezeAlarm models provide a power failure alarm, low battery alarm and high temperature alarm as well.

Remote Temperature Monitoring

Remote temperature monitoring can be easy using our Quick Status Feature that gives you the current temperature, power status and back-up battery voltage in a simple 15 second phone call. Available on our Intermediate, Deluxe and Wireless FreezeAlarms.

Remote Temperature Control

Now you can have a nice warm cabin waiting for you before you arrive! Our Telephone Controlled Thermostat feature gives you the ability to turn up or down the heat and air conditioning with a phone call. Some installation with your existing thermostats and heating system is required for this feature. This feature is only available on our Deluxe FreezeAlarm.

Add a Water Sensor or Motion Sensor for Enhanced Protection

Add a water sensor or our motion sensor to our Deluxe FreezeAlarm model to get protection for more than just temperature and power failures. Our WaterSiren Plus provides both an audible alarm to alert you if you’re home and the ability to trigger the Deluxe FreezeAlarm to call you with a water emergency message. If you’re concerned about intruders, add our Motion Sensor to sound a siren to send intruders running as well as trigger the Deluxe FreezeAlarm to call you with an intruder alert message.

Wireless Sensors

Our Wireless FreezeAlarm offers protection for any size home by using sensors that can be placed anywhere in a home or business. The sensors send temperature information to the base station. If any sensor detects a temperature that is too low or too high, the base station will begin calling up to three telephone numbers to alert you of a temperature emergency.

Perfect for the cabin owner who snowmobiles, skis, or ice fishes, the Deluxe FreezeAlarm lets you warm up the cabin by telephone. Simply install a second thermostat and with one phone call, switch between the thermostat set at 50° to the one set at 70° and enjoy a comfortable cabin when you arrive.

Deluxe model also accepts optional sensors such as our WaterAlarm™ or our MiniAlarm™ motion sensor. This unit calls up to three phone numbers if there is a temperature emergency, prolonged power failure, or if the backup battery needs replacing. Also can call a numeric pager and leave a numeric message on the pager display.

The Intermediate Model will call up to three phone numbers and alert you of a drop (or rise) in temperature, a power failure or if the back-up battery requires replacing. The Quick Status Check feature allows you to check the current temperature, power and battery status all within a quick 15 second phone call.

This model has a number of features that make it easy to use with answering machines and voice mail. The power monitoring feature can be adjusted to avoid alarm calls for short power failures if desired.

The Basic FreezeAlarm automatically calls out to one telephone number when the temperature drops below 45°. The Basic FreezeAlarm gives the person answering the call a pre-recorded voice message indicating there is a temperature emergency at the monitored location. It will even record the alarm message on your answering machine or voice mail. This unit will continue to call your programmed number until someone calls back to tell the FreezeAlarm to stop calling. The Basic model is the only FreezeAlarm model that requires you to have Touch Tone™ phone service at your monitored location
