NEW - Rechargeable, Back-Up battery system for many of our alarm systems and our Dock-N-Talk systems! Many users have asked for a backup battery system that is also rechargeable. We have found the CyberPower Systems uninterruptible power supply that is perfect for your FreezeAlarm or WaterAlarm. The CyberPower back-up battery system will provide approximately 12 hours of operation for most of our alarm products, even it is dialing out during that whole time. When the CyberPower system runs out of juice, the back-up 9 volt battery plugged into your FreezeAlarm will then take over.
Since the CyberPower back-up battery system is rechargeable, the 9 volt battery plugged into your FreezeAlarm or WaterAlarm won't get a work out during short power failures. Using the CyberPower back-up battery system will help alleviate frequent changing of the 9 volt battery in your alarm device.
The CyberPower back-up battery system is also a surge suppressor for your alarm's power and incoming telephone line. This helps keep harmful spikes and power surges through your power or telephone line from damaging your alarm device.
The CyberPower back-up battery system is also highly recommended if you are using our Dock-N-Talk cellular system for your phone service. The Dock-N-Talk system does not have a back-up battery system, so the CyberPower back-up battery system can provide you with approximately 12 hours of back-up power to the CyberPower system should power fail in your home.
The CyberPower features:
-
Approximately 12 hours of power to your alarm unit or any other DC powered device if the power goes out. Only after the CyberPower runs out of power will your regular 9V back-up battery then take over.
-
CyberPower automatically recharges itself when the power comes back on. This means the 9V battery plugged into the alarm unit doesn't have to work during short and frequent power failures.
-
The CyberPower is also a surge suppressor for both the power and phone line connections.
-
Includes an emergency light that comes on during a power failure (can be turned off to conserve power).
-
The CyberPower battery back-up comes with a variety of power adapters and can easily be used to also power your cordless telephone during a power failure. You can actually get about 4 hours of ”talk-time” on a cordless telephone when the main power is out.
How it works with our FreezeAlarm or WaterAlarm.
-
The CyberPower back-up battery replaces the transformer that comes with the FreezeAlarm or WaterAlarm product.
-
You will still need a 9 volt battery installed in your alarm device. The CyberPower system is an additional power back-up that helps keep the 9 volt battery fresher for a longer period of time.
-
This will only work with our Intermediate, Deluxe and Wireless FreezeAlarm models as well as our Wireless WaterAlarm. It is not recommended for use with our HomeSitter Security Systems.
-
Our tests have shown the CyberPower back-up battery to provide 12 hours of uninterruptible power to the FreezeAlarm.
Be aware that the CyberPower back-up battery will take over the regular power during a power failure. The FreezeAlarm or WaterAlarm will not even notice that a power failure has occurred because it will get its power from the CyberPower back-up battery. Your remote home, cabin or business could be without power for 10 or more hours before you would actually get a phone call about a power outage at your remote monitored location. Your alarm device will still call out on any of the other alarm conditions or the battery gets too low even when operating off of the power supplied by the CyberPower back-up battery.
